Bonita Springs Insulation — Done Right, Done Fast

Bonita Springs sits between Naples and Fort Myers, and we run crews through here daily. Whether you're in Bonita Bay, Spanish Wells, or along Old 41, your insulation is fighting the same SWFL battle: extreme heat, coastal humidity, and energy bills that never stop climbing. SW Florida attics run 130-140°F in summer, and a lot of the housing stock here went up in the 1980s and 90s — that insulation is now 30 to 40 years old.

Ideal Insulation has served Bonita Springs homeowners since 2012. Nine trucks, 20+ certified installers, all on payroll — we do not subcontract. We know the neighborhoods, we know the building styles, and we know what works in this climate.

Our Bonita Springs Services

Spray Foam Insulation

Open cell at the roof deck, 5 inches minimum by code — that is R-30 and it makes the attic part of the conditioned space instead of a 130-140°F oven sitting on top of your ceiling. Closed cell for crawl spaces and for homes near Estero Bay where moisture is a constant threat: closed cell is a vapor barrier as well as insulation, and it adds structural strength to the assembly it is sprayed on. Both types air seal. Fiberglass does not.

Blown-In Attic Insulation

Blown-in fiberglass, topped to R-38. That is the target for a vented attic here in Climate Zone 1. We can complete most Bonita Springs attics in half a day. Best for supplementing existing insulation, or when the ceiling plane is sound and you want the R-value back without re-engineering the attic.

Insulation Removal & Replacement

Storm damage, rodent contamination, or aging insulation that is past its useful life. We safely remove all types, dispose properly, and install new insulation — usually the same trip, so the attic is never left bare. Most installs go in the same week you approve the price, often within 48 hours. More on that here: when insulation has to come out.

Crawl Space Encapsulation

Bonita Springs' proximity to the coast means crawl space moisture is aggressive and relentless. Closed cell spray foam seals the crawl space and gives you a vapor barrier in the same pass, which shuts down the damp, the musty smell, and the gaps pests use to get in. We wrote up what holds and what fails under a Florida floor here: crawl space insulation, what works and what fails.

Bonita Springs Communities We Serve

  • Bonita Bay — Built out through the late 80s, 90s and 2000s. Large attic footprints, and original insulation that has settled since.
  • Spanish Wells — Established community with homes often still at the minimum code insulation they were built with.
  • Worthington, Palmira, Vasari — Golf communities with large attic footprints. More ceiling to cover, so getting to R-38 matters more here than it does on a small house.
  • Bonita Shores & Imperial Shores — Older stock west of US-41, prime candidates for removal and replacement rather than a top-off.
  • Highland Woods & Hunters Ridge — 1980s and 90s construction, right in the window where attic insulation has quit doing its job.
  • Barefoot Beach, Little Hickory Island — Coastal properties where we specify closed cell for the moisture control.

Why Closed Cell Matters on Coastal Bonita

Homes west of US-41 in Bonita Springs face conditions that inland properties don't:

  • Constant humidity — fiberglass holds moisture, and wet fiberglass loses R-value
  • More moisture migration through walls and ceilings than you get further inland
  • Flood zone requirements — much of coastal Bonita is in AE flood zones
  • Storm surge risk from hurricanes and tropical storms

Closed cell spray foam answers those: it is a vapor barrier and insulation in one product, and it adds structural strength to the assembly it is sprayed on — including your roof deck.

What Actually Changes After the Attic Is Done

A typical Bonita Springs home runs 1,800-2,500 sq ft. Here is what homeowners tell us they notice, in order:

  • The AC cycles off in the afternoon instead of running until sundown.
  • The back bedrooms stop lagging the thermostat by three or four degrees.
  • The attic is walkable in August without it feeling like a punishment.

We size the quote from Lee County property-appraiser records — square footage, roof geometry, year built. You get a written price with no site visit and nobody walking through your house. If you want us out first, the pre-visit before install is free.

Free Energy Audit for Bonita Springs Homeowners

Our thermal camera scan shows exactly where your home is bleeding energy. Worth $199, free for you. We run crews through Bonita Springs daily, so getting one scheduled is not a problem.
