Clewiston sits on the south shore of Lake Okeechobee in Hendry County, and it is a different building stock than the coast. Metal buildings, shops, ag and commercial shells, and houses that run the air conditioning all day because the attic was never sealed and nobody ever went up there to check.

Ideal Insulation is Naples-based, Latino-owned, and family-run. We have been doing this since 2013. We run this far inland when the job is real — same 9 trucks, same 20 certified installers, same written price and no living-room pitch.

What We Install Out Here

Spray foam, including on metal

Metal buildings and shops are a spray-foam job far more often than a blown-in job. There is nowhere for loose fill to sit, and the real problem is not R-value anyway — it is hot, wet outside air hitting a cool steel panel and condensing on it. Foam sprayed directly against the underside of the panel seals the assembly and takes the condensing surface out of play. Open-cell or closed-cell depends on the building and what is happening inside it, and we look before we say which.

On a house, it is the same logic we use in Lee and Collier: foam at the roof deck brings the attic and the ductwork inside the conditioned envelope instead of leaving that equipment in attic heat all afternoon.

Removal of failed fiberglass

Inland Hendry County took a direct hit from Ian in 2022, and plenty of buildings out here have insulation that got wet and never came out. You do not blow new material on top of that. We pull it, bag it, and then install the right system — the same insulation removal scope we run on the coast.

Blown-in when foam is the wrong call

If the attic should stay vented, there are no ducts up there, and the ceiling plane is the right boundary, we blow fiberglass to R-38 and leave it at that. The Florida code floor for a vented attic is R-30. We treat that as the floor, not the target. Foam is not automatically the answer and we will say so on site.

Inland Heat Is Not Coastal Heat

Out here you lose the sea breeze that keeps the coast a few degrees more honest in the afternoon. Attic temperatures climb and stay climbed, and a building that is running its equipment against that all day is losing the argument on the equipment, not on the thermostat.

What you gain is that salt air is not eating the assembly. The failures we find in Clewiston are heat, moisture, rodents, and age — not the corrosion pattern we pull out of villas a few hundred yards off the Gulf.

Distance and Scheduling

We are a Naples-based company. Clewiston is a scheduled run, not a same-hour special. If that does not work for your job, we say so up front rather than taking the deposit and figuring it out later.

LaBelle and the rest of Hendry County quote the same way. Commercial and ag work is usually easier to schedule out here than a single small residential attic, simply because of the drive — if you have several buildings, say so on the call.

Nearby

Our home counties are Collier, Lee, and Charlotte: Naples spray foam, Fort Myers spray foam, and Lehigh Acres, which is the closest of our established service areas to Hendry County.

For shops, warehouses, and ag shells anywhere in the region, the commercial insulation page covers how we scope that work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you really come out to Clewiston?

Yes, for a scoped job. We are Naples-based, so Clewiston is a scheduled run rather than a same-hour special. Call with the address and what the building is and you will get a straight answer about scheduling before anything else.

Do you insulate metal buildings and shops?

Yes. Metal buildings are one of the main reasons we run out here. Spray foam goes directly against the underside of the panels, which seals the assembly and stops the condensation you get when hot wet outside air hits cool metal. Blown-in does not work in that assembly at all.

Open-cell or closed-cell for a metal building?

It depends on the building and what it is used for. Closed-cell comes up more often on metal than it does on a house attic, because of the moisture and the direct contact with the panel. We look at the building before we tell you which one, not after.

What R-value should a Clewiston attic have?

The Florida code floor for a vented attic is R-30. We treat R-30 as the floor, not the target, and blow to R-38 when the attic floor is the right place to insulate. If the ducts are up in that heat, foam at the roof deck is usually the better answer than any amount of blown-in.

Do you cover LaBelle and the rest of Hendry County?

Same way as Clewiston. Scoped job, scheduled run, written price. If the trip does not make sense for the size of the job, we say so instead of padding the number.

Are you in a utility rebate program?

No. We do not sell or process utility rebates. The job still cuts how hard the air conditioning has to run.
